Mildred L. Thompson was born September 16, 1917 in Sparta, Illinois. Mildred married at the age of 16 to James Loucks and had a total of 13 children, and now many Grand and Great Grand Children.
James Loucks was a coal-miner and Mildred Loucks was a home-maker and picked fruit during The Great Depression to help provide for the family and began canning fruits, vegetables and even some meats.
Grandma's Apple Butter Recipe changed over the years, from outside cauldron over an open fire, to indoor oven cooking, but she got her famous Apple Butter taste down to a science.
People still call us today and tell us stories about going to my Grandma Loucks' house and being served this heavenly delight by the creator, herself,
Grandma Loucks!
Mildred Loucks passed away in October 1994, our mission is to share this sweet creation across America and keep her name and Apple Butter alive.

Bell's Dundee Marmalade BBQ Sauce!
Inspired by a sweet and tangy tradition that began in Dundee, Scotland over two centuries ago, this sauce blends the bold, bittersweet flavor of classic Scottish marmalade with the smoky richness of authentic barbeque. Made with real Scotch Whisky, it brings a warm, aromatic depth to the vibrant citrus notes. Bell’s Barbeque has taken this time-honored favorite and given it a fresh twist—infusing heritage flavors with pitmaster creativity for a one-of-a-kind glaze, marinade, or dipping sauce.
It’s Scotland meets the smokehouse in every drop.
